RigStands were created by filmmaker and 3D design enthusiast Mike Scott. Like so many great ideas, 'necessity was the mother of invention'.

Constantly irritated by his camera rig listing to one side whenever it was set down or stored, by the scratches and bumps to the baseplate and mattebox - and more worryingly - by the accidental damage caused to client's desks/surfaces - Mike looked to his other passion of 3D design and 3D printing to solve the problem.

RigStands were originally sold on a trial basis in 2020 and were well received. Mike took a break from selling for a few years but received many requests to reintroduce the product and so - after a quick facelift of the design - they are back on sale.
